Paige Cole finished the day with 37 kills as the Leopards rallied past the Tigers 16-25, 27-25, 25-17 before falling to GlenOak & Canfield in two sets. Amanda Clark also had 32 assists, Sydney Bast was Louisville’s top server, and Lauren Siegfried led the team in digs.
Gabby Smith scored the game-tying goal off a cross from Tapanga Smith with 6 minutes left as the Leopards tied the host Golden Eagles 1-1. Goalie Amelia Henderhan also blocked a PK for one of her 11 saves in the net.
Jonathan Schmidt made a 19 yard field goal as time expired to lift Canfield past Louisville 24-21. Colton Jones threw 2 first quarter touchdown passes to Davis Burick & Grayson Beamer, and Connor Adelman also ran for a Leopards score.
Blake Varner scored the only Leopards goal in the second half via an assist by Riley Adams, but Louisville fell to visiting GlenOak 4-1.
Co-Match Medalists Logan Vanicek and Logan Yadrnak shot 46 apiece to lead the Leopards to a 186-223 win over the visiting Cardinals. Tommy Karcher and Justin Shafer rounded out he scoring shooting 47 each as LHS improved to 2-3.
Rachel Kibler, Jo Menegay, and Sherilynn Mullett all won their singles matches as the Leopards blanked the visiting Crusaders 5-0. Both LHS doubles teams also won as Louisville improved to 7-2.
Kayla Gibson and Miklos Hendricks were both individual champions in leading both Louisville Cross Country Teams to a dominating first place finish at the East Canton Invitational. 10 different Leopards finished in the top 10 in total.
Amelia Henderhan recorded her third straight shutout and Tapanga Smith her third straight multi-goal game as the Leopards blanked the Quakers 2-0. Gabby Smith also recorded an assist as Louisville improved to 4-0-1 on the year.
Paige Cole finished with a team leading 19 kills and 7 digs to lead Louisville in a 25-14, 25-15, 25-20 sweep of the visiting Carrollton Warriors. Sydney Bast also had 7 digs, Amanda Clark 15 assists, and Kaitlyn Baskerville 4 aces.
