7th Grade Boys Basketball Survives Semis, Rolls in Championship

Bryce Mathie hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime, but the Minerva took the game in the extra period 59-51 over visiting Louisville.
Kyle Ashcraft led the team with 12 points, while Trevor Burk and Jarett Heater poured in 11 each, and Brock Haren broke double digits with 10. Freshman are now 11-2, 10-0 on the season.
Jordan Monnot poured in a team-high 10 points, while Clara Lemmon and Hollyann Mullett added 8 each to lead the Louisville Lady Leopards past the Minerva Lions 41-31.
Blake Hoover led Louisville with 13 points and Alex Schooley added 8 to lead the Leopards to a 50-41 win over Minerva Friday. Ronnie, Carter, Bryce Mathie, and Pavin Parks each added 7 as well.
The Leopards Freshman Squad defeated Canton South 46-37 Monday evening and also earned a 51-31 at Minerva Saturday to move to 4-0 on the season.
Jordan Monnot poured in 19 points and Hollyann Mullett added 10 as the Lady Leps opened NBC play up with a 51-37 victory at Minerva.
Rachel Baughman and Lizzy Mont each scored 2 goals as the Lady Leopards picked up their school record 11th victory by defeating the Minerva Lions 4-1. Louisville needs just one win to claim the NBC.
Riley Groves and Kyle Baker each scored goals for the Leopards, but Minerva rallied to defeat Louisville 3-2. The loss drops the Leopards to an even 6-6 overall and 2-3 in the NBC.
Pavin Parks and Kyle Bast hooked up for two touchdown passes, Jake Mathie returned an intereception for a touchdown, and Andy Minster & Joe Crank ran in touchdowns to lead Louisville to their third straight win.
