Girls Basketball Strikes Early in Win Over Blue Streaks

Morgan Cole took 3rd individually to lead the Lady Leopards to a 3rd place finish at the DI Canton District Meet. Louisville advances to Regionals for the first time since 2012.
Megan Chatelain, Maddie Berkebile, and Kayla Gibson all scored goals as the Leopards defeated the Panthers 3-1 in the DI Austintown Sectional Semifinals.
Morgan Cole took third place to help the Lady Leopards take 1st place in the NBC Meet at Copeland Oaks. Cassidy Kiko also placed 6th and Nicole Israel 7th.
The Leopards clinched their third NBC Title with a 12-0 win against the Wildcats. Louisville is now unbeaten in their past 10 games, which is a new team record.
Jenny Hamsher scored a goal and had an assist to lead the Leopards past the Golden Eagles 4-3. Bri Horton hit home the game winning goal and Kayla Gibson also scored.
Maddie Berkebile & Kayla Gibson netted goals in the final 14 minutes to lead the Leopards in a 2-0 Senior Night win over the Quakers. Celia Keefe also earned the shutout in goal.
Kayla Gibson, Sydnee Shankel, and Bri Horton all scored goals during Louisville’s 3-0 shutout of visiting Carrollton. Celia Keefe also recorded the shutout in goal for the Leopards.
Bri Horton scored a pair of goals and had an assist as the Leopards rallied to beat the Tigers 6-2. Louisville is now 7-1 at the halfway point of the regular season.
