Girls Cross Country Takes 3rd at District Meet

Louisville – 105 (3rd Out of 12)

The Louisville Leopards Girls Cross Country Team placed 3rd out of 12 teams at the DI Canton District http://www.facebook.com/JenniferLBolyard/Meet Saturday at Malone University. Louisville finished with 105 total places, which was only eclipsed by District Runner-Up Perry who totaled 78 and District Champion GlenOak who finished with a total score of 38.

Morgan Cole led the Leopards by finishing 3rd individually with a team best time of 19:37.07. Cassidy Kiko also cracked the top 10 by taking 7th place with a time of 20:01.05.

Other Louisville scorers included Nicole Israel (23rd), Kayla Gibson (30th), and Emma Patterson (42nd). Beatty's White Louisville Leopards HoodieIris Menagay (48th) and Regan Thomas (52nd) rounded out the Leopards lineup against a total of 85 District runners.

With the result, Louisville Girls Cross Country advances to Regionals for the first time since 2012, which is also the last time they advanced to the State Meet. They will attempt to qualify for State for the third time in their history at the DI Youngstown Regional Meet next Saturday at Boardman High School. Race time is set for 3:00 PM.
