Girls Soccer Blanks Warriors 3-0
Louisville 3, Carrollton 0
The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team shutout the visiting Carrollton Warriors 3-0 Wednesday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 8-1-1 overall and 4-0-1 in NBC play.
Three different Lady Leopards scored goals in the contest. Kayla Gibson broke the stalemate by rebounding her own shot and then slipping a second shot past the sliding goalie. Louisville would take a 1-0 lead into the half.
The Leopards added two more insurance goals in the second half. A wild play ensued during the 46th minute. Hannah Baughman passed the ball right to left,into the center of the box where Sydnee Shankel blasted a shot. The attempt ricocheted off the right post, off a Carrollton defender, and found its way into the net to make it 2-0 Louisville.

A smilier play occurred for the Lady Leopards third goal. Maddie Berkebile directed a pass from near the right sideline to the center of the box. It found Bri Horton who flushed it home to make it 3-0 Louisville with 12:44 to go.
The Leopards defense did the rest in holding the Warriors to just 4 shot attempts for the game. Celia Keefe recorded 3 saves and earned the shutout in goal for Louisville. Reversely, Louisville registered 23 shot attempts and finished with a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
With the victory, the Leopards have now defeated the Warriors in their past 6 meetings. Louisville is now 12-0-1 against Carrollton all-time which includes a 6-0-1 record at home in the series.
