Louisville Downs Green to Win 5th Straight DI Sectional
Kylie Zifer cracked a 2-run double, Amy Hoover had 2 hits, Keri Hupp hit a triple, and Katie Cozy drove in a run to lead Louisville to a 7-1 victory over Green in the DI Sectional Finals.

Jakes Pukys, Nick Knebl, and Vic Knebl all won their singles matches to lead the Leopards past the Bulldogs 3-2. Louisville finishes the season with the second most wins & second highest winning percentage in school history.
Louisville will host the Green Vs. Canton Timken Winner on Thursday, May 15 at 4:30 PM after drawing the 5th Seed in the DI Massillon District Softball Tournament Draw Sunday.
Louisville fell to Green 68-59 and in the consolation game fell to New Philadelphia 56-41. Abby Beaver, Hollyann Mullett, and Rachel Zeller were the top three scorers in each contest.
The Lady Leopards opened the season on Wednesday and defeated host GlenOak 4-1. On Friday they downed Green in the home opener 4-1. Louisville is now 53-3 in their last 56 dual matches.
Rachel Baughman scored 2 goals and Lizz Stefanik added the other during the Lady Leps 3-3 tie with Green. Louisville finishes the preseason at 1-3-1.
The Lady Leps set the school tournament run record in downing the visiting Green Bulldogs 25-3 in the DI Sectional Finals. Gianna Falcone also picked up her school record 21st win of the season as well.
The 2013 Louisville Boys Tennis teams’ 17 wins are the most since 1979 and they are the first ever NBC team to go 10-0 in the league. Their .895 winning percentage is second all-time only to the perfect 17-0 team of 1979.
The Lady Leopards drew the second seed in the DI Massillon District Softball Tournament draw Sunday and will face the winner of Massillon Vs. Green at home on Thursday, May 16 at 4:45 PM.
Gianna Falcone earned her 8th shutout of the season, Jordan Monnot provided an RBI, and Keri Hupp went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI’s to lead the Leopards to victory. Chet Givens is now 100-26 since becoming coach.
