Boys Tennis Edges Green, Finishes with 17-2 Record

The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis team edged the Green Bulldogs 3-2 Monday to conclude the the season as a team. Louisville finishes the 2014 season with a record of 17-2.
All three singles players won their matches to give the Leopards the victory. Jake Pukys won a perfect 6-0, 6-0 in #1 Singles and Vic Knebl also won in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in #3 Singles. The match came down to #2 Singles and Nick Knebl shined bright as he won in three sets 6-0, 3-6, 6-2.
With the victory, Louisville has now defeated Green in two straight matches and leads the all-time series 7-2.
The Leopards 17-2 mark ties last year’s squad for second best all-time in terms of both single season wins and single season winning percentage in school history. Still holding on to these records are the 1977 team that finished 19-3 and the 1979 team that finished a perfect 17-0 (1.000).
