SOFTBALL: Late Louisville Rally Forces Split with Perry

Chandler Rice hit a two-run triple in the top of the seventh and Brittany Flanigan closed out the deal 1-2-3 in the bottom of the inning to seal the deal for the Lady Leps who are now 4-0, 2-0 on the season.
Amy Hoover and Katie Cozy both went yard in the sixth inning to give Louisville a walk-off 12-0 win over the Alliance Aviators. Brittany Flanigan also pitched a one-hit shutout & sat down 8.
The Lady Leopards put together a 13-run second inning in the first game to win 18-2 and Gianna Falcone pitched a no-hitter in the second contest to help give the Leps a 10-0 win.
Brittany Flanigan didn’t allow a single hit during a 2-0 scrimmage win over Tallmadge. Louisville’s offense produced 6 runs in the first inning during a 9-1 win over Crestwood after that.
In the circle, Brittany Flanigan & Gianna Falcone combined for 11 strikeouts. At the plate, Emily Isla & Katie Cozy went a combined 6 for 7 and scored 5 runs.
Brianna Libertore was named Player of the Year and Garee McCully Coach of the Year for NBC Girls Basketball. Mackenize Storlie & Molly Brown also made the 1st Team.
Molly Brown led all 12 Louisville scorers with 8 points, while Brianna Libertore and Hannah Lemmon each added 8. The Leopards led 33-7 & never looked back.
Macy Byrd penetrated the lane and scored with 1.8 seconds remaining to lift the Perry Lady Panthers over the Louisville Lady Leopards 42-41 Tuesday night at Perry High School. Brianna Libertore led the Lady Leps with 15 points, while Molly Brown scored 10 and Mackenzie Storlie added 9 against the Panthers.
The Lady Leopards scored the first 17 points of the game during a 69-40 rout at Canton South. Brianna Libertore led all 11 scorers with 14 & Chandler Rice added 10.
