Libertore, McCully Take NBC Top Honors
Louisville Lady Leopards Senior Forward/Center Brianna Libertore was named NBC Player of the Year this past weekend along with Louisville Head Coach Garee McCully being named NBC Coach of the Year.
McCully coached the Lady Leopards to a 16-5 mark overall and a 13-1 record in the NBC that sent them to their second straight outright NBC Championship.
As a team captain, Libertore led Louisville on the court nearly averaging a double-double per contest with 14.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
Mackenzie Storlie and Molly Brown also rounded out the NBC First Team. Storlie nearly led the county in assists with 5.9 per contest and also 3.8 steals per game. Brown was third in scoring for the Leopards this past season and also hit a game-winning three-pointer that helped save the Leopards season at Carrollton.
Clara Lemmon was named to Second Team All-NBC, while Angela Risaliti and Chandler Rice were honorably mentioned.
