The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team thumped the visiting Massillon Tigers 11-1 Saturday Afternoon at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville is now 5-3-1 on the season.

Junior Morgan Keelan scored a team record 7 goals and added an assist to lead the Lady Leopards. Her 7 goals eclipses the Lady Leopards previous single game individual record of 6 goals set by Rachel Baughman in a 6-1 win at GlenOak on September 20, 2014. It also surpasses the home individual record of 5 goals previously set by Carley Adams in a 10-0 victory over the Carrollton Warriors on October 1, 2008. Keelan has now scored a team leading 16 goals on the season.

Freshman Matti Benson also notched her 4th goal of the season to go along with a pair of assists. Benson now holds the team lead in assists with 5, all of which have come in the last three games. Junior Fallon VanZant also scored her first goal of the season for the Lady Leopards.

Overall 7 of Louisville’s 11 goals were assisted. Other assists were provided by freshman Natalie Lab and junior Morgan Mayle.

Leopards Sophomore goalkeeper Amelia Henderhan added to her record career and season totals with 4 more saves in goal. Senior Kenedi Fisk scored the loan goal for the Lady Tigers.

Leopards Home Record for Goals Scored

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdLouisville made great use of the new scoreboard Saturday as their 11 goals tied the Lady Leopards team record for most goals scored in a home game. It is also a team record for most goals scored when playing at Louisville Leopards Stadium. The only other time Louisville scored 11 goals at home was in an 11-0 victory over visiting Canton South on September 21, 2011 at the old soccer field.

The 11 goals ties that 2011 game for the third most in any game in team history. Only the Lady Leopards 13-0 win at Canton McKinley in 2011 and their 12-0 win at Canton South in 2016 produced more offensive output. Below is a look at the 7 times Louisville has reached double digits in goals scored in a single game throughout their history:

  • Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate Ad13-0 at Canton McKinley on September 19, 2011
  • 12-0 at Canton South on October 12, 2016
  • 11-1 Vs. Massillon September 19, 2020
  • 11-0 vs. Canton South on September 21, 2011
  • 10-0 at Canton McKinley on August 22, 2016
  • 10-0 vs. Carrollton on October 1, 2008
  • 10-2 at Massillon on September 4, 2019
