Jenny Can Cleaning AdThe Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team demolished the visiting Marlington Dukes 60-34 Tuesday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville evens their mark for the year at 6-6.

Dakota Hoffman led the Leopards with a game-high 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Hayden Nigro and Cory Noble both tallied 9 points each. Will Aljancic also finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists for Louisville.

Leopards Pull Ahead and Never Look Back

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdHoffman found the bottom of the net on a three-pointer from the top of the arch to get the Leopards on the board first. The Dukes countered with five straight points to take their only lead of the contest at 5-3. Louisville answered back with an 11-1 run to close the opening quarter in going ahead 14-6.

The Leopards continued to expand their lead in the second quarter and pulled ahead by double digits by halftime at 27-14. Out of the locker room, Louisville edged Marlington 15-14 in the most competitive quarter of the game. Then the Leopards put the Dukes away by tripling their total in the fourth quarter 18-6.


Miller Leads the Dukes with Team-High 9

Samantha's Grill AdThe Dukes were led by Casey Miller who hit a pair of three-pointers and finished with a team-high 9 points. Drew Denham also scored 7 points and both Rome Sims & Ben Yoder added 5 points each for Marlington.

With the victory, the Leopards have now defeated the Dukes in 11 of their last 12 meetings, including the last 6 overall. Louisville now leads the all-time series over Marlington 72-39, which includes a 38-17 record at home in the rivalry.

Happy Birthday Coach Siegfried!

Tuesday marked the fourth time Head Coach Tom Siegfried has coached the Leopards on his birthday. Louisville now holds a 3-1 record in games played on January 19 since Siegfried was hired as the varsity head coach in 2007.
