The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team defeated the host Marlington Dukes 59-40 Tuesday Night at MHS. With their fourth straight victory, Louisville is now 9-4 on the year.
Dakota Hoffman scored 8 of his team-high 12 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Leopards. Scotty Gronow hit 3 three-pointers and finished with 11. Colton Jones also tacked on 8 and Ryan Pukys added 7.

Louisville outscored Marlington in every period en route to their victory. The Leopards jumped out to an 18-12 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 27-18 at the break. They edged the Dukes 14-13 out of the locker room to take a double digit lead at the end of three. Louisville doubled up Marlington 18-9 in the final stanza to seal the deal.
The Dukes (7-7) were led by Andrew Pucci who scored a game-high 15 points. Cameron Bennett also hit double figures with 10 and Connor Evanich scored 9.
The Leopards have now defeated the Dukes in 10 of their last 11 meetings including the last 5 overall. Louisville now leads the all-time series 71-39 which includes a 32-20 record in games played at Marlington. The Leopards have now won the last 5 games in the rivalry played at MHS.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Cleveland to face the St. Ignatius Wildcats on Friday, January 24. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.
