Louisville Falls to Olentangy Orange at Spectrum Orthopaedics Classic – Boys Basketball

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team took on the Olentangy Orange Pioneers at North Canton Hoover High School Saturday Evening as part of the Spectrum Orthopaedics Classic. Louisville fell to Olentangy Orange 67-50 to drop to 5-6 on the season.
Will Aljancic scored a team-high 9 points and Dakota Hoffman poured in 8 points to go along with 3 assists to lead the Leopards. Hoffman was named team MVP following the game. Cory Noble and Broc Pickens also added 7 points each.
Leopards Start Strong, Pioneers Rally
Seven different Leopards scored in the opening quarter as they doubled up the Pioneers 16-8 through the first eight minutes of action. Olentangy Orange rallied back in outscoring Louisville 20-9 in the second quarter to take a halftime lead and 22-10 in the third quarter to pull ahead 50-35.
The Pioneers edged the Leopards 17-15 in the final period to finish the game.
Irwin Named MVP with Game-High 26
Olentangy Orange was led by team MVP Andre Irwin who made 3 three-pointers and scored a game-high 26 points. Elias Lewis also hit home 4 three-pointers and finished with 16 and Jason Foster scored in each quarter to tally 13.
This was the first ever meeting between the two schools.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Marlington Dukes on Tuesday, January 19. JV will begin at 5:30 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:00 PM.
