Lady Leopards Shoot All-Time Low on Way to Record 13-0 Start – Girls Golf

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team defeated the host Northwest Indians 143-194 Wednesday at Lyons Den Golf Course. With the victory, Louisville now surpasses the 2018 team for the best start in program history at 13-0.

Katie Bice and Alexis Ralston were co-medalists in shooting a match low 34 each to lead the Lady Leopards. Erin Strouse finished just behind them carding a 35 and Abby Davis tallied a 40. Rounding out the Louisville varsity were Madison Gruber who shot 43 and Lauren L’Amoreaux who shot 48.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdThis is the second time the Lady Leopards have set an all-time team 9-hole match record low this season. The 143 they shot on Wednesday breaks their previous mark of 148 shot at Pleasant View Golf Club on September 2 in a 148-157 victory over the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders. This is also the third time they have set a road match low and the second time they’ve set a new road low mark in as many days. Louisville shot 151 on Tuesday at The Elms in a 151-226 victory over host Fairless to set the previous low road mark. 

Northwest was led by Jessica Cliff who shot a team low 41.Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Indians were Maria Dangelo 48, Natalie Geiger 50, and Kennedy Kraft 55. Other NHS varsity golfers included Ashton Schwiger who shot 59 and Lydia Woodward who shot 61.

With the victory, the Leopards are now 2-0 against the Indians with both wins coming this season. Louisville also defeated Northwest 166-208 back on August 26 at Pleasant View Golf Club.

Samantha's Grill AdThe 2018 Lady Leopards Golf Team started off the season 12-0 before falling on the road to the New Philadelphia Quakers 184-197 at Union Country Club. This year’s team has now won 13 straight matches to begin the season to set a new standard. Louisville will now look to complete the first perfect season in team history with their final two dual matches at Pleasant View, their home course. They will take on those same New Philadelphia Quakers on Monday, September 21 and then host the Tallmadge Blue Devils on Wednesday, September 23.
