Lady Leopards Match Best Start in Team History at 12-0 – Girls Golf

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team defeated the host Fairless Falcons 151-226 at The Elms Country Club Tuesday. With the victory, Louisville matches the 2018 Lady Leopards team for the best start in program history at 12-0.
Co-medalists Madison Gruber and Erin Strouse each shot a match low 35 to lead Louisville. Other Lady Leopards top scorers included Katie Bice who shot 38 and Abby Davis who carded 43. Rounding out the Louisville varsity were Alexis Ralston 44, Lauren L’Amoreaux 49, and Abby Vanicek 49.
Fairless was led by Evy Morrison who shot a team low 43. Other Falcons scorers included Kylee Moore 59, Katie Thomas 62, and Ayza Raja 62. Bri Schumacher also shot 65 as the only other FHS varsity participant.
The Lady Leopards are now 11-0 against the Lady Falcons all-time dating back to 2013. Louisville also holds a 5-0 record on the road in the series against Fairless.
The 151 team score is an all-time road record low for the Lady Leopards Golf Program. Louisville set the previous mark in the season opener during a 156-196 victory over the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders at Arrowhead Golf Club on August 5. They eclipsed that low by 5 strokes Tuesday at The Elms Country Club.
With their win over the Falcons, the Lady Leopards match the 2018 team for the best start in team history at 12-0. They will have the opportunity to surpass that mark on Wednesday when they take on the Northwest Indians at Lyons Den Golf Course.
