Louisville Earns Road Win At Central Catholic 4-1 – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team downed the host Canton Central Catholic Crusaders 4-1 Wednesday Evening. With the victory, Louisville improves to 4-5 on the season.
The Lady Leopards won all three singles matches in straight sets. #1 singles player Rachel Kibler continued her dominance by posting a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory against the Crusaders’ Peyton Crumpler. In #2 singles, Sherilynn Mullett recorded a convincing 6-3, 6-0 win against Morgan Phillips. Jade Thomas also doubled up Abbey Ray 6-3, 6-3 in both sets of her #3 singles matchup.
The two teams split the doubles matches. Louisville’s #1 doubles team of Bailey Menegay & Katie Yarnall defeated Schuyler Crumpler & Chloe Doll 6-3, 6-3. Central’s #2 doubles squad of Brianna Sinclair & Catherine D’Agostino earned the only CCHS point of the night with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Ashley Dadisman & Sophia Warner.
This is the first time the Lady Leopards have posted back-to-back victory over the Lady Crusaders since 1988-1989. Central had taken 8 of 9 matches in the series prior to this current LHS winning streak. Louisville leads the all-time series 17-11 overall dating back to 1976.
