Smith Records Hat Trick as Leopards Shutout Tigers 6-0 – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team shutout the visiting Lake Center Christian Tigers 6-0 Saturday Afternoon at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 1-0-1 on the young season.
Senior Gabby Smith recorded a hat trick to lead the Lady Leopards offense. Sophomore Amelia Henderhan also had 3 saves in goal in earning her first shutout of the year.
Other goal scorers for LHS included Sophomore Gracie Bush, Junior Morgan Mayle, and Senior Diana Pukys. Mayle also led the team with 2 assists and Bush had the only other assist for Louisville.
The Leopards dominated the game from start to finish leading 2-0 at the half and adding 4 more goals in the second half. LHS out-shot Lake Center Christian 18-2 and blanked them in corner kicks 7-0.
With the victory, Louisville has now defeated Lake Center Christian in each of the past three seasons. The Lady Leopards are now 4-2-1 all-time against the Lady Tigers, which includes a 3-1 record when playing at Louisville.
