Lady Leopards Knot Falcons in Season Opener 1-1 – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team tied the host Fairless Falcons 1-1 Friday Evening in their season opener at the Fairless Athletic Complex.
The Lady Leopards struck first when Junior Morgan Keelan scored via an assist from Freshman Natalie Lab. Louisville would ride their 1-0 lead into the half.
The Lady Falcons knotted the game in the second half when Olivia Wagner found the back of the net for FHS.
Fairless out-shot Louisville 21-9 for the game, but Leopard Sophomore Goalie Amelia Henderhan kept the Falcons at bay time and again to keep the score deadlocked at one a piece. Henderhan finished with 13 saves to lead the LHS defense.
This was the second meeting all-time between the two programs. The Leopards also tied the Falcons 1-1 at Louisville Leopards Stadium to open the 2019 season.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Lake Center Christian Tigers on Saturday, August 22. Game is set to start at 3:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium. All tickets must be purchased online in advance.
