Lady Leopards Earn 1st Victory in 5 Sets Vs. Dover – Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team downed the visiting Dover Tornadoes in five sets 25-17, 18-25, 25-16, 11-25, 15-10 Thursday Night at Louisville High School. With their first victory of the season, Louisville improves to 1-6 on the year.
Jobe Leads the Leopards to 1st Win
Senior middle hitter Lexi Jobe led the Lady Leopards in serving and on defense. She finished with 16 service points and 4 aces at the service line. On defense, Jobe was a brick wall in recording 6 blocks. Senior libero Kait Kardohely also led the defense with a team high 20 digs.
The Louisville offense was led by junior outside hitter Brooke Haren who threw down a team leading 14 kills. Sophomore setter Madie ElFaye also filled in nicely for an injured Leopard starter in recording a team high 26 assists.
1st Louisville-Dover Meeting Since 1994
This was the first meeting between the Leopards and Tornadoes since Louisville won at Dover in two sets during the 1994 regular season finale. The last time the Tornadoes ventured to Louisville High School was back in the 1992 season when both teams were still members of the Northeastern Buckeye Conference. Dover won that matchup 6-15, 15-12, 15-7.
