Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team defeated the visiting defending regional runner-up Canfield Cardinals 47-31 Wednesday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville now improves to 4-1 on the season.

Haren Scores Game High 17 for Louisville

Equitable Advisors - Bryce MathieSenior Brooke Haren scored a game high 17 points to lead the Lady Leopards. Haren scored 9 points in the opening half as Louisville built another significant advantage early. Haren led an 18-0 Leopard first half run that resulted in a 20-2 Louisville lead with 3:53 remaining before halftime.

The Leopards led 13-2 after the first quarter and pulled ahead 28-10 by halftime. LHS has now outscored the opposition 100-30 in the first quarter through its first five games of the season. Canfield edged Louisville 11-10 in the third and 10-9 in the fourth, but the Lady Leopards held firm to their double digit advantage to the final buzzer.


Barwick Finishes in Double Figures for LHS

Louisville junior Courtney Barwick also scored 8 of her 10 points in the opening half. Barwick was awarded the Carraba’s Player of the Game by Straggat Media after the contest, her second of the season. 

Sophomore Taylor McCully also scored 9 points and senior Lexi Wasara added 6 for the Lady Leopards.


Dill Leads Canfield with 8

Senior Cameron Dill scored all of her team high 8 points in the second half to lead the Lady Cardinals. Sophomore Jenna Triveri also scored 7 and senior Camryn Hritz finished with 5 for Canfield.


Leopards Vs. Cardinals Girls Basketball Series

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe Lady Leopards have now defeated the Lady Cardinals in 2 of the last 3 seasons. Canfield still leads the all-time series 12-5, but Louisville now holds a 4-3 edge in the series when playing within the confines of Louisville High School.
