Mayle Posts 2nd Consecutive 80

Sophomore Jack Mayle finished with a team low 80 matching his total from the Simonson Invitational last Thursday. Despite leading LHS again in their second straight tournament, Mayle wasn’t satisfied:

“Jack Mayle came in with his 2nd consecutive 80 and was less than thrilled about his finish. Never satisfied, I like it!”

– Head Coach Mike McFerren

Root and Miller Notch Competitive Lows

Leopards Stay Hungry Following Polar Bear Invite

Despite besting their total from a week ago and all of last year, these Leopards are far from satisfied:

Samantha's Grill Ad“The theme of the post round discussions was HUNGER! Not just hungry for the tasty meal at Shady, but hungry to improve. The improvements from last year to this year are immense. No more excuse making, no more reflecting on bad breaks and ‘coulda shoulda wouldas’…they talk about what they can work on, how the next round is going to be even better. They talk about taking each other out to work on their games.

The best part is we get to tee it up tomorrow on another beautiful golf course (Alliance Country Club) and see if we can keep the ship headed in the right direction. There will be bumps, but these boys are a blast to be around. They are truly becoming a team.

How lucky am I to get to hang out with good kids, get to watch them develop themselves in the game I love, and get to see some of the most beautiful courses in our area?”

– Head Coach Mike McFerren

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the Alliance Invitational on Tuesday, August 10. Tournament is set to start at 9:00 AM from Alliance Country Club.
