he Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team celebrated its home opener with a convincing straight-set victory over the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders Thursday evening at Louisville High School. The Lady Leopards defeated the Crusaders 25-13, 25-17, 25-23 to earn their second straight victory and improve to 2-1 on the season.

Rukavina, Tillett Power Balanced Louisville Attack
Kloey Rukavina led the Louisville attack with 14 kills, while Ella Tillett continued to provide a formidable presence at the net with 13 kills and a team-high 5 blocks. Setter Addison Johnston kept the offense running efficiently with 32 assists.
The Leopards also received strong contributions from the back row and service line. Aubrey Johnston led Louisville with 18 digs and served 3 aces, while Karis Miglich recorded 12 digs, 9 service points, and 2 aces.
Leopards Control Match in Three-Set Sweep
Louisville set the tone immediately with a dominant 25-13 victory in the opening set. The Leopards continued to control the match in the second, pulling away for a 25-17 win to take a commanding two-set advantage.
Central Catholic provided its toughest challenge in the third set as the Crusaders attempted to extend the match. Louisville held its ground in the tightly contested frame and finished off Central 25-23 to complete the sweep.
After dropping their season opener to Norton, the Lady Leopards have responded with consecutive victories over Canton McKinley and Central Catholic to move above .500.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards Volleyball Team will next travel to Massillon for a tri-match with the Massillon Tigers and Claymont Mustangs. Opening match begins at 10:00 AM from Washington High School. JV will be at Massillon at the same time

Leopards Sweep Crusaders at Every Level
Louisville completed a program sweep of Central Catholic with victories in the JV and freshman matches as well.
JV: Louisville 25-25, Central Catholic 22-16
The JV Leopards defeated the Crusaders in straight sets 25-22, 25-16 to remain perfect at 3-0. Brynn Burick distributed 14 assists while adding 9 service points and 2 aces. Cassie Rhome registered 7 kills and 2 aces, while Lily Seaman contributed 9 digs and 3 aces.
Freshman: Louisville 25-25, Central Catholic 14-7
The freshman Leopards were equally impressive, rolling to a 25-14, 25-7 sweep to improve to 2-0. Zayleigh Berdella recorded 9 assists, Reina LaScola finished with 4 kills, 3 aces, and 5 digs, and Eiley Swope delivered 12 service points.
Freshman will next host Perry on September 3 at 4:30 PM.
Middle School Leopards Split at North Canton
The Louisville Middle School teams were also in action Thursday against North Canton Orange.
7th Grade: Louisville 25-25, North Canton Orange 16-17
The 7th grade Lady Leopards continued their outstanding start with a 25-16, 25-17 sweep. Bria Zapolnik and Jamie Schloneger shared the team lead with 2 kills apiece, while Zapolnik and Charlotte Travis each served 3 aces. Louisville improved to 7-1 with the victory.
8th Grade: North Canton Orange 25-22-25, Louisville 21-25-18
The 8th grade Leopards battled North Canton through three sets before falling 21-25, 25-22, 18-25. Kelsey Dadisman led Louisville with 5 kills, while Camryn Snyder recorded 3 aces. The 8th grade squad moves to 5-3 on the season.
Both middle school teams will return to action at Massillon on Tuesday, September 1 at 5:00 PM.
