The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team defeated the visiting Perry Panthers 3-1 Monday evening at West Main Vet Clinic Field, earning a milestone victory in the process. With the win, Louisville improved to 9-10 on the season while recording the 600th victory in Lady Leopards softball program history.

Katelynn Miller was dominant in the circle, as the pitcher rang up 11 strikeouts in Louisville Varsity Leopards’s 3-1 victory over Perry Varsity Panthers on Monday. Miller surrendered two hits and one run over seven innings while walking one.

Both teams were strong in the circle. Louisville Varsity Leopards pitchers struck out 11, while Perry Varsity Panthers sat down six.

Louisville Varsity Leopards opened the scoring in the second after Maggie Baker singled, scoring one run.

Louisville Varsity Leopards added to their lead with two runs in the bottom of the third inning thanks to home runs by Anna Sirohman and Bailee Griffith.

Anna Keller started the game for Perry Varsity Panthers. The starter gave up eight hits and three runs over six innings, striking out six and walking one.

Griffith and Sirohman were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Baker, Addy Campbell, and Sirohman each collected two hits for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Baker stole three bases. Louisville Varsity Leopards stole four bases in the game.

Amelia Bonk and Kerrington Klick each collected one hit for Perry Varsity Panthers. Klick went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.

Louisville Varsity Leopards play at home on Wednesday against Dover Varsity Tornadoes 2026 in their next game.

Even though Lyla Kandel struck out 10 batters, Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards still fell to Perry on Monday. Kandel surrendered five hits and two runs over five innings while walking none.

An error put Perry on the board in the top of the first.

Zoey Piatt earned the win for Perry. The hurler allowed four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking two.

Reagan Samblanet went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards in hits. Ayverie Meister stole two bases.

Ana Covey, Piatt, and Kylee Casto each drove in one run for Perry.

Louisville Junior Varsity Leopards will travel to Alliance Junior Varsity Aviators for their next game on Tuesday.
