The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team was shutout by the visiting Indian Valley Braves 1-0 Wednesday evening at West Main Vet Clinic Field. With the loss, Louisville falls to 8-10 on the season.

Louisville Varsity Leopards could not keep up with Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights 7-2 on Wednesday at Hoban High School Football Stadium.

Louisville Varsity Leopards got on the board in the first inning after Grayson Brunoni grounded out, scoring one run.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdIn the bottom of the first inning, Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights went back into the lead after Ben Rovnak hit into a fielder’s choice, Colt Andrews singled to center field, and Camacho doubled to center field, each scoring one run.

A double by Andrews extended the Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the second inning.

West Main Vet Clinic AdBrunoni pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler allowed three hits and one run while, striking out six and walking two. Trevor Burick began the game for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler gave up three hits and six runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking six. Matthew Ramsey opened the game for Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights. The hurler allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out 10 and walking none.

Zander Triplett set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Louisville Varsity Leopards with two hits in three at bats. Brunoni and Bryce Johnson each drove in one run for Louisville Varsity Leopards. Louisville Varsity Leopards turned one double play in the game. Louisville Varsity Leopards were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jake Beard made the most plays with eight.

Gionino's Pizzeria Oakwood - Mobile AdAndrews provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights with four runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Grady Falkenstein, Andrew Karhoff, and Rovnak led the team with two walks each. Falkenstein stole four bases. Archbishop Hoban Varsity Knights ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the game.

Next up for Louisville Varsity Leopards is a game at Alliance on Thursday.
