The Louisville Leopards Freshman Football Team was unkind to the visiting North Canton Hoover 
Vikings during a 42-8 thumping at Louisville Leopards Stadium Thursday. With the victory, Louisville improves to 2-0 on the young season.
Leopards Runningback Nathan Guiley scored on a pair of touchdown runs and also on a conversion run. On his second touchdown, Guiley ran straight ahead into the line, spun out of a sure tackle, bounced to the outside, and ran into the right side of the endzone. Guiley also recovered a fumble in kick coverage and set the tone early by rushing for 26 yards on Louisville’s first play from scrimmage.
The Leopards scored the first five touchdowns of the contest in taking a 36-0 advantage less than 2 minutes into the third quarter. The Vikings did not score until 5:48 left in the fourth quarter when the Louisville Starters had been pulled.

The Leopards also made big plays in the passing game. Quarterback Colton Jones hit Ryan Pukys on a 
short pass to the right side. Pukys juked past a defender and was gone for a 65 yard touchdown on just the second play from scrimmage.
Jones tossed his second touchdown pass in the second quarter. He hit the elusive Davis Burick on a Bubble Screen and Burick made the most of it. He b-lined through a path of players and scampered down the right side of the field for a 55 yard touchdown reception.
Louisville ran in four touchdowns on the ground. Jax Leonard scored on a 3 yard run near the end of the first quarter and Tyler Futo blasted in from a yard out for the final score of the contest.
The Leopards successfully converted on 3 of 6 conversion attempts. Jones hit Pukys for the only passing conversion. Gage Hartman had the other conversion run in the second quarter for Louisville.
