Louisville Plows Field in 20-0 Shutout – Freshman Football
Louisville 20, Field 0
The Louisville Leopards Freshman Football team shutout the visiting Field Falcons 20-0 Thursday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville is now 2-0-1 on the season.
Two of the Leopards three touchdowns came on fourth down. Facing 4th-and-12 on their opening drive, Quarterback Tyler Jackson found Wide Receiver Elliot Tornow for a 22 yard touchdown pass in the pouring rain. Later in the second quarter, Brady Vanover punched in a score from a yard away on 4th-and-goal to put Louisville up 20-0.

On defense, Andy Larson stripped the Falcons ball carrier and recovered the fumbled ball on the Field 29. Jackson ran for 18 yards on the next play and Larson followed that with a 10 yard run that appeared to break the plane. Larson was marked just shy of the goal line, but scored on the next play to make it 13-0 Leopards with 3:36 left in the first quarter.
Mother nature took over late in the second quarter. The game was delayed due to thunder with 49 seconds left before halftime and never resumed.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to Marlington to take on the Dukes on Thursday, September 14 at 5:00 PM.
