Alliance Aviators at Louisville Leopards Volleyball 2014 Video Highlights

The Louisville Lady Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team defeated the visiting Alliance Aviators in four sets 24-26, 25-16, 25-22, 25-11 Tuesday Evening at LHS. With the victory, Louisville improves to 15-6 overall and 10-3 in NBC play.

Emily Hollifield led the Leopards with team-highs of 14 Kills and 5 Blocks. Also for Louisville, Grace Jackson was the match’s top server with 14 points, Rachel Mathie had a match-high 16 digs, and Haley Shadle finished with a match-high 45 assists.

The Leopards dropped the first set against the Aviators 26-24. They remained in command most of the way in the final three sets, but did fight off a furious Alliance rally in the third set. The Aviators cut the deficit to 23-22 before the Leopards scored the final two points.

Alliance was led by Jackson who had 10 points serving and 29 assists, Zurbrugg who had a game-high 17 kills and 10 digs, Thomas who finished with 3 blocks.

Prior to the match Louisville honored their 4 Seniors which included Paige Lewis, Rachel Mathie, Haley Shadle, and Shelby Vacha. Leopard Nation would like to thank these Seniors for all their hard work & great memories and also wish them the best of luck!

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will conclude the regular season against the Dukes on the road at Marlington. JV begins at 5:00 PM and Varsity follows at approximately 6:00 PM.
