Louisville 53, Salem 33

Hannah Lemmon scored 17 points and Clara Lemmon & Jordan Monnot each added 10 to help lead the Louisville Lady Leopards past the Salem Lady Quakers 53-33 at  John A. Cabas Beatty's Winter HoodiesGymansium Saturday Afternoon.  With the Victory, the Lady Leopards improved to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the NBC.

Hannah Lemmon scored all of her 17 points in the first half, including 11 that came in the first quarter alone.  Through this the Leopards built a 27-18 halftime advantage.

In the second half, Clara Lemmon added three third quarter buckets to help Louisville take a 41-26 advantage heading into the final quarter.

Louisville then removed all doubt with a 10-0 run to start the fourth quarter.  Emily Nees added 3 baskets during the period and Hollyann Mullett scored all 8 of her points in the second half as well.  The run was in large part due to the Lady Leopards defense which shutout the Quakers for a span of 7:11 from the end of the third quarter to deep into the final minutes of the game.

The Quakers, who fell to 1-6, 0-3, were led by Tori Jones and Ciera Trybend who scored 8 points each.

Louisville will next travel to Marlington before heading home next Saturday to play in a pivotal NBC Matchup against 7-0 Carrollton.
