The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team shutout the visiting Tallmadge Blue Devils 1-0 Monday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-1 on the season.
Schillig Scores Lone Goal in 1st Half
Sophomore Alyssa Schillig scored the game’s lone goal in the first half to lift the Lady Leopards to victory. The score was her milestone 10th career varsity goal and second straight game in which she found the back of the net. Schillig scored 8 goals during the 2022 campaign, which also included a goal against Tallmadge.
Senior Mikaiah Sells earned the assist on the play.
Mercier Notches 2nd Shutout
Junior goalkeeper Audrey Mercier went the distance to record her second shutout in 3 games. Louisville rode their one goal advantage all the way to the end to earn the 1-0 victory.
The Lady Leopards are now 2-0 against the Blue Devils all-time, which included doubling them up 4-2 at home last season.
