The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team downed the visiting St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish 61-46 in a battle of Division III top 10 state ranked teams Saturday night at Louisville High School. Louisville improved to 14-5 with the victory and has won nine of its last ten games since returning from California.

Balanced Attack Leads Leopards to Victory
Tate Aljancic hit a pair of three-pointers and finished with a team-high 15 points to lead the Leopards. Brayden Gross also poured in 8 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter to help seal Louisville’s victory.
Ashton Marshall was named the player of the game by multiple media outlets for his outstanding defense, while also finishing with 13 points. Beau Siegfried also registered double figures with 11 points. Both Marshall and Siegfried led the Leopards with three three-pointers apiece.
Other scorers for Louisville included Kolton Loy with 4, and Devin Bailey and Avery Andrejcik who added 2 points each.
Prince Leads Fighting Irish with Game-High 22
DeCarlo Prince scored 12 of his game-high 22 points in the second half to lead the Fighting Irish. Prince also made two three-pointers in the second quarter as St. Vincent-St. Mary finished with four three-pointers for the game.
The trio of Leigh Cotton, Ascen Lomack, and John Worton contributed 7 points each for the Fighting Irish. Darius Wright also hit 2-of-4 free throws and Caleb Hill split a pair of shots from the line.
St. Vincent-St. Mary have now lost two straight, falling to 9-9 on the season. The Fighting Irish fell at Richmond Heights 85-54 on Friday night, a team that Louisville edged 64-62 on January 31.

Louisville Vs. St. Vincent-St. Mary Basketball Series
The Leopards are now 1-1 against the Fighting Irish all-time. Louisville and St. Vincent-St. Mary’s only other meeting on the court came in the 2022 Division II Regional Championship game played at Canton Memorial Civic Center. The Irish won that game 61-21 en route to their 10th state title, cementing their legacy as one of Ohio’s premier programs.
Louisville is the #4 seed in Sunday’s Northeast Region Tournament Draw and St. Vincent-St. Mary is the #6 seed.
