The Louisville Leopards Girls Lacrosse Team upended the visiting Southeast Pirates 22-1 for Senior Day on a rainy Saturday Morning at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, the Lady Leopards snap their 6-game losing streak and finish the regular season with a record of 4-9.

Evans 8 Goals is Second Most in a Game for LHS

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdBrynn Evans scored a game high 8 goals to lead Louisville. Evans scored a team record 5 goals in the opening quarter as the Lady Leopards stormed out to a 9-0 lead at the end of the first stanza. She also added a pair of goals in the second quarter and another goal in the third. 

Louisville led 14-0 at halftime and 20-1 at the end of the third. The game would be called with 7:23 remaining after play stopped with a Southeast injury as the rain continued to pour down on the field.

Evans 8 goal total fell just one goal shy of the school record. Alexa Oberster still holds the team record scoring 9 goals in a game twice. Oberster scored 9 times in an 18-4 home win against St. Vincent-St. Mary on April 17, 2017. She also found the back of the net 9 times in a 20-3 road victory at Poland Seminary on May 9, 2017.

Evans would have been poised to tie or even break Oberster’s record had the remaining 7:23 been played. 


Bricker Also Scores 7 Goals for Louisville

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdSarah Bricker also scored 7 goals for the Lady Leopards. She registered a hat trick in the first half and tacked on 3 more goals in the third quarter. Bricker’s final goal of the game was Louisville’s team record 22nd of the contest.

Including Evans, Bricker is just the fifth Lady Leopard to score 7 or more goals in a game. Emily Hollifield, Brooke Hubbard, and Oberster also previously scored 7 goals in a single game.


Heckman Records Hat Trick for Leopards

Equitable Advisors - Bryce MathieAva Heckman scored a goal in each of the first three quarters for Louisville in recording a hat trick as well.

Altogether seven different Lady Leopards scored during the game. Other goal scorers for LHS included Brooklyn Essik, Cheyanne Franklin, Emily Harter, and Ashley Milburn


Louisville Sets Team Scoring Record

The 22 teams goals are the most scored in a single contest in Louisville Girls Lacrosse history. The previous record of 21 goals was accomplished twice. The first came n a 21-5 road win at GlenOak on May 4, 2017. The second instance came in a 21-0 shutout at Boardman on March 17, 2018. The 21-point differential also ties that Boardman game for the largest margin of victory in team history.

This is just the fourth time the Lady Leopards have eclipsed the 20 goal mark in program history.

Louisville Remains Undefeated Vs. Southeast

The Lady Leopards are now an undefeated 5-0 against the Pirates all-time, which includes a 4-0 record when playing at Louisville Leopards Stadium in the series. 

Louisville also defeated Southeast 9-4 earlier this year on April 20.
