The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer shutout the visiting Ravenna Ravens 5-0 in their regular season finale Saturday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville ends the regular season with a record of 10-4-2 after going undefeated through the second half of their schedule. LHS has ripped off wins in 7 of their past 8 with the tie at Tallmadge as the only non-victory during that run.
Kael Mickley scored a pair of goals to lead the Leopards on offense. He has now scored 5 goals on the season for LHS. Other goal scorers included freshman Brady Adams adding his 6th goal of the season and Mason Foley notching his 5th goal of the year. Senior Maddox Drake-McKimm also scored his 1st goal of the season on a second half penalty kick.
Every goal except the penalty kick was assisted. Senior Riley Adams recorded a pair of assists to now give him a team-leading 10 for the season. Drew Dillen and Austin Smith also registered assists for Louisville.
The goalkeeper duo of Joe Reynolds and Noah Emmons combined for the shutout. This is the Leopards sixth shutout of the season, which is the most since 2016. Reynolds needs just one more shutout to tie the team record for shutouts in a season.
With the win, Louisville has now won 3 out of their last 4 meetings against Ravenna. The Leopards lead the all-time series 4-3 overall, which includes a 4-1 record at home in the series. This is the 5th time in team history that Louisville has finished with double digit victories at the end of the regular season and first time since 2016. The Ravens fall to 6-7-3 with the loss.
UP NEXT: The #9 seed Leopards will next host the #26 seed Canton South Wildcats on Tuesday, October 20 in the DII Northeast 2 Sectional Semifinals. Kickoff is slated for 6:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.
