Louisville Rallies Past New Philadelphia 3-2 – Boys Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team rallied for a 3-2 victory over the visiting New Philadelphia Quakers Thursday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. Louisville is now undefeated in their past 7 games and now holds a record of 9-4-2 on the season.
The Quakers (9-4-2) jumped out to a 2-0 first half lead on a pair of goals by Elliot Warner. New Philadelphia’s Drew Maurer also registered an assist on one of Warner’s scores.
The Leopards answered with a pair of goals before the break to knot the game at 2-2 by halftime. Senior Riley Adams got Louisville on the board first via an assist from junior Kael Mickley. Freshman Cameron Young then scored the game-tying goal via an assist from freshman Brady Adams.
In the second half, Riley Adams would add his second goal of the contest via an assist from sophomore Cooper Gilbert. The goal was his 25th of the season, but more importantly it put the Leopards in front 3-2.
The Louisville defense held New Philadelphia off the board the rest of the way to clinch their 6th victory in 7 games. Junior goalkeeper Joe Reynolds finished with 6 saves for the Leopards. His counterpart Nathaniel Demuth also finished with 3 saves for the Quakers.
Louisville is now 1-1 against New Philadelphia all-time. The Quakers won their only other meeting last season 4-2 at New Philadelphia.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Ravenna Ravens on Saturday, October 17. Game time for the regular season finale is set for 7:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.
