My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdThe Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team was shutout by the host Ravenna Ravens 1-0 in their season opener Friday Night at Portage Community Bank Stadium.

Junior Ian Johnston scored the only goal of the game for the Ravens in the first half. Connor Lovejoy also finished with 5 saves in goal to lead RHS on defense.

Louisville fell to Ravenna despite doubling up the opposition in shots 8-4 and holding a 3-0 edge in corner kicks. LHS Goalkeeper Joe Reynolds also finished with 3 saves.

The loss snaps the Leopards three game winning streak over the Ravens in head-to-head matches. The all-time series is now an even 3-3, but Louisville is 0-2 in matches played at Ravenna.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Akron Firestone Falcons in the home opener on Saturday, August 24. Game time is set for 7:00 PM from Louisville Leopards Stadium.
