Jake Pukys & Adam Sullivan defeated Austintown Fitch 6-1, 6-0 in the Flite 1 Championship of the Louisville Doubles Classic Saturday. The Leopards are now 11-1 overall dual meets and a perfect 7-0 in the NBC.
Katie Cozy & Amy Hoover both had 3 hits and 2 RBI’s and Chandler Rice had 2 hits & 3 RBI’s to lead Louisville. The Leopards scored 6 runs in the opening inning to take command of the contest.
Pavin Parks pitched a complete game to move to 4-0 on the year and Stephen Kerzan went 2-for-3 with an RBI & a run to lead the Leopards to a 4-2 win over the Wildcats in NBC play Thursday.
Riley Groves pitched all six innings giving up just 2 earned runs and striking out 6 & Kyle White pounded out 2 of the Leopards 7 hits to lead Louisville in a 3-0 loss to Canton South.
Shelby Swigert went 3-for-4 and scored Louisville’s only run, Chandler Rice went 2-for 3 with an RBI, and Gianna Falcone fanned 5 for the Leps in a 3-1 loss to Jackson. The Lady Leopards are now 10-2.
Joey Duckworth went 3-for-4 and drove in 5 runs to lead the Louisville Leopards past the host GlenOak Golden Eagles 9-5. Kyle White and Garrett Yoder also had 3 hits each to help lead 6-8 Louisville to victory.
The Leopards pounded out 14 hits and Jordan Hughes pitched the entire contest without giving up a single earned run. Riley Groves and Stephen Kerzan each had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs for the Leps.
