Leopards Shutout Indians at Home 8-0 – Boys Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team shutout the visiting Northwest Indians 8-0 Saturday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 5-1 on the season.

Dillen Leads Louisville with Multi-Goal 1st Half
Junior Drew Dillen scored a pair of first half goals to put the Leopards ahead 2-0 at the break. Both scores came via assists by sophomore Dominic Porter-Kovacich. Dillen has now scored four goals this season.
Dillen also provided an assist for junior Brady Adams who scored the first goal of the second half to put Louisville in front 3-0 in the 53rd minute of action. With that goal, Adams pulled ahead of Dillen for the team lead in goals for the season with five. For Dillen, it was his team high fourth assist of the campaign.
6 Different Leopards Score in 2nd Half
The Leopards would erupt for six more goals in the second half via six different players. Senior Tanis Murray and sophomore Damien Lowder both scored their first goals of the season. Murray’s came via an assist by junior Ryan Kibler in the 55th minute and Lowder’s was an unassisted score in the 63rd minute.
Porter-Kovacich, sophomore Kadan Swope, and junior Ethan Diller all notched their second goals of the year. Porter-Kovacich scored via an assist by senior Cooper Gilbert in the 57th minute. Sophomore Nick Johnston would provide the assists for the other two scorers that came less than a minute apart to put Louisville ahead 8-0 late in the 79th minute. Johnston also finished with three assists in the JV game giving him a total of five for the night.
Emmons and Foradis Combine for Shutout
Junior Noah Emmons and sophomore Giovanni Foradis combined the shutout in goal for the Leopards. The shutout is Louisville’s fourth of the season as a team with Emmons starting all four of those matches.
The Leopards have now shutout the Indians in each of their past three meetings outscoring them 15-0 in that span. Louisville now leads the all-time series 9-7-2 overall which includes a 4-2-2 record when playing at home in the series.

The Louisville Leopards Boys JV Soccer Team also blanked the Northwest Indians 7-0 in a one half game prior to the varsity match Saturday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-1 on the year.
Freshman Trevor Glaser and sophomore Nick Johnston each scored a pair of goals to lead the Leopards. Johnston scored the first two goals of the contest and Glaser added the last to goals of the game. Johnston assisted Glaser on each of his scores and finished with three assists for the single half game.
Other goal scorers included freshman Carter Burton, junior Remi Klein, and freshman Raiden Lindner. Freshman Colton Rhoads also recorded two assists and Burton added an assist.
