The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team blanked the host Northwest Indians Saturday Night at Dr. Martin Smilek Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 4-1 on the season.


Five Leopard Underclassman Score In Rout

Five different Leopard underclassmen scored during the contest. Sophomore Drew Dillen put Louisville on the board via an assist from freshman Dominic Porter-Kovacich. Dillen then provided the assist as sophomore Brayden Mayle found the back of the net to make it 2-0 LHS.

The Leopards would tack on three more goals in the second half to turn the match into a blowout. Sophomore Angelo Paquelet scored via an assist from sophomore Cam Young. Porter-Kovacich followed with an unassisted goal to up the Louisville lead to 4-0. Finally, sophomore Ethan Diller capped off the scoring with a goal off an assist from sophomore Brady Adams.

Senior Joe Reynolds and sophomore Noah Emmons combined for the shutout in goal. Each Leopard goalkeeper finished with a pair of saves.


Louisville Vs. Northwest Boys Soccer History

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdWith the win, Louisville has now their last two meetings against Northwest. The Leopards now lead the all-time series over the Indians 8-7-2 and have evened up the series when played at Canal Fulton 5-5.

This is just the second time that Louisville has shutout Northwest. The other time came in their previous meeting, a 2-0 road win in the 2019 DII Canton Sectional Final.

UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team will next host the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish on Tuesday, September 14. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:00 PM.

Jenny Can Cleaning AdThe Louisville Leopards Boys JV Soccer Team rolled to a 12-0 shutout of the host Northwest Indians in only one half of play. With the win, the Leopards JV improve to 4-1 on the year.

Damien Lowder and Kadan Swope both recorded hat tricks and also tallied one assist each to lead Louisville. Nick Johnston also scored a goal and registered two assists for the Leopards.

Re-Elect Corey Street Louisville City Council AdAltogether seven different Louisville players scored during the game. Ryan Kibler and Will Pouchabay both scored a goal and tallied one assist each. Other goal scorers included Zach Ebey and Ethan Lewis. LHS also benefitted from a Northwest own goal during the contest.

In addition, nine different Leopard players recorded assists on the evening. Hudson Barthel, Remington Klein, Caleb Riley, and Jacob Sanders also had assists during the match.
