Maddie Bigham placed 5th in Original Oratory and Malayna Swope took 5th in Dramatic Interpretation as Louisville took first place in overall team sweepstakes. Morgan Callan and Molly Wolfe also captured 6th in Duo Interpretation.
Sabrina Capito took 5th in Informative Speaking earning a state bid as the Louisville Speech team placed 5th at Tusky Valley. The LHS Debate team also competed at New Philadelphia and finished 14th in team sweepstakes.
Morgan Callan and Molly Wolfe took second place in duo Interpretation as Louisville earned a divisional sweepstakes title at Beavercreek. Callan also placed 2nd in Humorous Interpretation to earn a state bid.
Morgan Callan and Molly Wolfe took 1st in Duo Interpretation as Louisville placed 10th overall at Dublin Jerome. Micah Lowe was also the champion in International Extemporaneous Speaking for LHS at Copley.
Louisville Speech and Debate dominated at Highland, earning the top team rank and multiple individual bids to the state tournament. Standout performances included Micah Lowe taking 1st in International Extemporaneous, Malayna Swope placing 2nd in Dramatic Interpretation, and the duo of Morgan Callan and Molly Wolfe finishing 2nd in Duo Interpretation.
The LHS Speech & Debate Team took 3rd at Tusky Valley, 4th at Vermillion, and 6th at Perry and also had individuals compete at New Philadelphia this month.
