Leopards Shine at Copley and Dublin Jerome: Multiple State Bids Secured – Speech & Debate
Although the LHS Speech and Debate team was split at Dublin Jerome and Copley, they had an excellent weekend!
At Copley High School we saw the champion in International Extemporaneous Speaking, again, being Micah Lowe, achieving 1st place overall and earning a bid to the state tournament. Top ranks go out to Brody Brown.
Now, moving on to Dublin Jerome, LHS got 10th place overall in the team sweepstakes! Molly Wolfe and Morgan Callan achieved 1st place in Duo Interpretation, earning a bid to the state tournament.
But that’s not all, Morgan Callan also won 2nd place in Humorous Interpretation earning yet another bid to the state tournament. Returning to Molly Wolfe, she earned 3rd place in Humorous Interpretation, Malayna Swope earned 3rd place in Dramatic Interpretation. Joey Duncan won 5th place in Lincoln Douglas earning a bid to the state tournament, and last but not least, we have Sabrina Capito who achieved 8th place in Informative Speaking.
Great job Leopards and good luck next weekend!
