Louisville Speech & Debate Takes Top Rank at Highland
Louisville – 1st
The Louisville Speech and Debate team had an excellent weekend at Highland, achieving the TOP rank overall out of all competing schools.
International Extemporaneous speaking saw a new tournament champion being Micah Lowe in 1st place, earning himself a bid to the state tournament. Malayna Swope achieved 2nd place in Dramatic Interpretation, earning herself a bid to the state tournament, she isn’t the only 2nd placer though! The Duo of Morgan Callan & Molly Wolfe also got 2nd at highland earning themselves a bid to the state tournament. Molly Wolfe achieved 4th place in Humorous Interpretation earning herself a bid to the state tournament.
Onto the competitors that achieved 6th place: We had Morgan Callan getting 6th in Humorous Interpretation, Brody Brown earning 6th in United States Extemporaneous Speaking, and Maddie Bigham earning 6th place in Original Oratory. Sabrina Capito achieved 10th in Informative Speaking, Brent Williams earned 10th in Program Oral Interpretation, and finally, additional top ranks go out to Gigi Hoopes in Declamation!

On November 2 at Perry High School, Louisville was an impressive 8th out of 43 teams!
