Editor’s Notes/Facts

  • The 20 runs is the most scored by the Leopards since they won at Marlington 23-6 on April 6, 2010.
  • This is just the fourth time Louisville has scored 20 or more runs in completed records dating back to 1980.
  • The last time Louisville scored 20 or more runs against a non-NBC foe was in a 23-11 win against the Jackson Polar Bears in 1976 when both teams were in the Federal League.
  • This is only the seventh time in recorded history (with a lot of it missing to be fair) that Louisville has scored 20 or more runs in a game. The first known time was in a 20-6 victory over Canal Fulton on May 1, 1931.
    • This came a day after the 4/30/1931 Herald read “After a lapse of 5 years, baseball was again resumed at LHS”

JV Leopards Now 8-7

UP NEXT: The Louisville Baseball Team will next travel to take on the Massillon Tigers on Tuesday, May 5 at 5:00 PM. JV will host Massillon at the same time.
