Louisville Places 7th at Big District Tournament – Speech & Debate
The Louisville High School Speech and Debate Team placed 7th in team sweepstakes at the Big District Tournament at Perry High School.

Joe Fitzgerald rolled a 455 series to lead the Louisville Boys in their 2591-2159 win over host Canton Central Catholic. Alysa Thornhill rolled a 408 series to lead the Lady Leopards in their 2089-1809 loss to the Lady Crusaders.
Dave Kerry rolled a 484 series to lead the Louisville Boys in their 2690-2392 win over visiting Lake Center Christian. Alysa Thornhill rolled a 347 series to lead the Lady Leopards past the Lady Tigers 1696-1668.
Louisville earned 4th place in team sweepstakes at the Canton District Debate Tournament and had 21 students qualify for the state tournament. Select students also competed at the Three Rivers Tournament in Upper St Clair, Pennsylvania.
Charlotte Nuesch was Louisville’s top scoring gymnast placing 2nd on vault and 3rd on the floor exercise in leading the Lady Leopards to a third place finish as a team at the Polar Bear Invitational.
Kelsey Adelman scored a game high 20 points and Brooke Haren dropped in 17 to lead the Lady Leopards in their last second 55-53 loss to the visiting Explorers in the DI Massillon Perry Sectional Semifinals. Louisville finishes the season 15-7.
Matthew Darlison rolled a 431 series to lead the Louisville Boys in their 2470-2392 loss to host Conotton Valley. Alysa Thornhill rolled a 363 to lead the Lady Leopards in their 2031-1489 loss to the host Lady Rockets.
Courtney Barwick scored a game high 16 points to lead the Lady Leopards past the host Crusaders 58-40. Brooke Haren also scored 10 and Aubrey Thorne added 8 for LHS who finishes the regular season 15-6.
Matt Darlison rolled a 514 series to lead the Louisville Boys in their 2826-2673 loss to visiting Minerva. Alysa Thornhill rolled a 338 series to lead the Lady Leopards in their loss to the visiting Lady Lions at Eastbury Bowling Center.
Brooke Haren scored a game high 24 points and Courtney Barwick dropped in 13 as Louisville defeated visiting Canfield 52-43 on Senior Night. Kendal Loy also scored 6 and Kelsey Adelman 5 as LHS improved to 14-6.
