Down 2 sets to none, the Lady Leopards roared all the way back to earn a DI Sectional Title over the GlenOak Golden Eagles back on October 20.
The 2012 Lady Leopards softball team finished the season 25-4 and 14-0 in the NBC. They hit 21 homers and outscored their opponents 255-74 during the stretch that included memorable wins over Perry & Canfield.
Rice went 3-for-4 with a Grand Slam & Monnot & Cozy each had homers to lead the Lady Leopards to a 14-0 win at Marlington. Falcone also pitched a 5-inning shutout.
Annie Woolf went a combined 5-for-6 with a 2-run homer, double, 5 RBIs, and 5 runs in Louisville’s 11-1 & 9-0 victories over the Green Bulldogs Saturday. Gianna Falcone also pitched a 7-inning shutout in game two.
Louisville’s 9-2 win over West Branch gives them their 4th straight outright NBC Title & their third straight 20-win season. Jordan Monnot had a 3-run homer off the scoreboard in the fifth.
Emily Isla and Katie Cozy each went 3-for-3 with 4 RBI’s to lead the Lady Leopards to a 10-0 home win over the Salem Quakers. Gianna Falcone also pitched a five inning two-hit shutout.
Chandler Rice went 3-for-4 with a triple, 2 RBI’s, and scored 2 runs to help lead the Lady Leopards to an 8-2 win at Minerva. Brittany Flanigan also pitched a complete game & struck out 7.
