The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team shutout the visiting Mapleton Mounties 6-0 Wednesday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With their fourth consecutive victory, Louisville improves to 5-1-1 on the season.

Lint Records Hat Trick to Lead Leopards

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdKasey Lint recorded a hat trick and also tallied an assist to lead the Lady Leopards on offense. Lint scored the final two goals of the first half via assists from Reese Riley and Alyssa Schillig as Louisville went into the break with a commanding 5-0 advantage.

Lint also scored the only goal of the second half via an assist from Haile Folk with 4:20 left in the contest. 

Lint also provided an assist for the third goal of the game scored by Payton Allan.


Schillig Records Fastest Goal in Team History

Equitable Advisors - Bryce MathieAlyssa Schillig scored the fastest known goal in Lady Leopards soccer history just 19 seconds into the game. Allan recorded the assist on the play.

The goal is the second fastest known goal in Louisville Leopards Stadium history. Hoover’s Anna Kreinbrink scored a goal in just 12 seconds during Louisville’s 2-1 loss to the Vikings in the 2016 season opener. You can view that video below:

 

Riley scored the Lady Leopards only other goal via an assist from Lilli Lab that put LHS ahead 2-0 in the first half.


Edgein Notches Record 6th Consecutive Shutout

Romeo's Pizza Louisville, Ohio AdGoalkeeper Tristyn Edgein recorded 5 saves in earning her sixth straight shutout. Edgein played the first 50 minutes before giving way to Ezela Manko who finished off the shutout with 3 saves in the final 30 minutes of action.

The 6th consecutive shutout now stands alone as the most in team history eclipsing the 2013 Lady Leopards who registered five straight shutouts with Becca Springman as goalkeeper. 

Louisville out-shot Mapleton 20-3 and held a 4-1 edge in corner kicks. The Mounties recorded 9 saves as a team.


Mapleton Marks 70th Unique Opponent

This was the first ever meeting between Louisville and Mapleton in girls soccer. The Mounties are the 70th unique opponent the Lady Leopards have faced all-time since 2003.

UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next travel to take on the Lake Blue Streaks on Monday, September 16. JV will begin at 5:15 PM and Varsity will follow at 7:00 PM from Blue Streaks Stadium.
