Cole Records 1,000 Kill as Louisville Wins at West Branch – Volleyball

Samantha's Grill AdThe Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team swept the host West Branch Warriors 25-18, 25-16, 25-21 Monday Evening at WBHS. With their fifth consecutive victory, Louisville secures a winning regular season now with a mark of 11-8.

Senior Paige Cole finished with 19 kills on offense including her 1,000th career kill in the second set. Her 12th kill of the match granted her the milestone as her Leopard teammates cheered loudly for the accomplishment and the fans in attendance applauded the feat. Cole now sits at 1,007 kills for her career with two more regular season games and the tournament remaining.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdSenior Lauren Siegfried also had a team-high 21 assists and 9 kills on offense. Freshman Addison Burick was Louisville’s top server with 16 service points and senior Sydney Bast led the Leopards defensively with a team-high 12 digs.

The Lady Leopards have now defeated the Lady Warriors in 27 of their past 28 matchups including their last 8 meetings overall. Louisville has also won 14 straight matches at West Branch dating back to 2005.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Barberton Magics on Wednesday, October 12. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 6:00 PM.
