Leopards Rally Past Warriors in Last NBC Match – Volleyball

Louisville Leopards Women's Long Sleeved Jacket - Beatty's Sports Fall 2017The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team rallied to defeat the visiting West Branch Warriors 19-25, 25-16, 28-26, 25-22 on Senior Night Thursday at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville finishes 10-4 in the NBC and improves to 12-10 overall heading into tournament play.

The Leopards lone Senior Ellie Jackson finished with a team-high 18 digs to lead the defense. Freshman Paige Cole also had a team-leading 3 blocks to aide the Louisville defensive effort.

Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdCami Nau threw down a team-high 16 kills to lead the Leopards offense. Morgan Cole finished with a team-leading 34 assists and threw a lot of misdirection at the Warriors to unofficially finish with 9 kills. Paige Cole also had 8 kills and Emily Fresenko tallied 6 unofficially. Kaitlyn Baskerville was the leading server for Louisville with 8 points and 1 ace.

The Leopards have now downed the Warriors in 26 of their past 27 matchups overall. This includes winning 12 of their last 13 matches in the series at Louisville.

Crislip, DeJacimo, Wyss for Louisville Board of EducationThis is the Lady Leopards final Northeastern Buckeye Conference match. They end their 29 year run in the NBC with a overall record of 293-113 (.722). Louisville achieved doubled digit league victories in 19 of those seasons including the 2017 campaign.
