Lady Leopards Shutout Irish 2-0 in Road Scrimmage – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team shutout the host St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish 2-0 Saturday Night at John Cistone Field/Green Street Stadium in Akron. With the victory, Louisville improves to 6-3-1 in the preseason.
Kimble and Miller Find the Net for Louisville
Junior Ava Kimble scored the lone first half goal and recorded an assist on the only second half score to lead the Lady Leopards. Kimble broke the deadlock with a goal via an assist by senior Brooke Manley in the 17th minute to give Louisville an early lead.
Later in the second half, Kimble provided the assist for junior Mazzy Miller’s goal in the 63rd minute which allowed the Lady Leopards to take a commanding 2-0 advantage.
Henderhan and Mercier Combine for Shutout
Senior Amelia Henderhan and sophomore Audrey Mercier combined for the shutout in goal for Louisville.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next host the Lancaster Golden Gales in their final preseason scrimmage on Tuesday, August 9 at 7:00 PM.
