With the victory, Louisville improves to 7-9-2 on the season and advances to play at the #3 Seed Orrville Red Riders in the DII Canton District Semifinals on Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00 PM.

Sophomore Goalkeeper Joe Reynolds earned his second straight shutout recording 13 saves in the net for the Leopards. LHS has now shutout the opposition in 3 of their last 4 tournament games overall.

The victory avenges Louisville’s 2-1 loss in their Sectional Final at Northwest a year ago as well as a 2-0 loss at Northwest 12 days earlier in the regular season. This is the Leopards first victory over the Indians since they trounced them 15-1 on the road on September 28, 2010. The all-time series is now tied 7-7-2 with Northwest still holding a 5-4 edge over Louisville in games played at NHS.

1st Road Tournament Win Since 2002

Beatty's Sports Football 2018 Schedule Shirt T-ShirtThis is the fifth Sectional Title won by the Leopards in team history and first since 2012. The previous four Sectional Championships won by Louisville came after earning a bye in the Sectional Semifinals. This is the first LHS team to ever win two tournament games in a single season.

This is the Leopards first tournament victory on the road since a 7-4 win at Field in the DII Kent Sectional Semifinals back on October 14, 2002. Louisville is now 3-12 all-time in tournament games played on the road and 14-19 overall (12-15 in Division II) in the postseason.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next travel to face the #3 Seed Orrville Red Riders in the DII Canton District Semifinals on Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00 PM.
