The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Golf Team fell to the host Medina Bees 155-169 on a rain soaked course at Fox Meadow Country Club Wednesday Afternoon. With the loss, Louisville drops to 0-2 on the season.

“If you had told me that we would play golf tonight when i walked out of LES, I would have told you that you had screw loose. I was soaked until the 3rd hole tonight…but we got the round in.”

Mayle Cards Team Low 39 Despite Triple Bogey

Sophomore Jack Mayle shot a team best 3 over par 39 to lead the Leopards. Mayle’s team low score was extra remarkable considering he registered a triple bogey on one hole.

Rounding out the Louisville scoring were junior Sam Karcher 41, sophomore Cole Miller 44, and junior Caleb Harsh 45.

Salamon Shoots 1 Under Par 35 to Lead Bees

Kyle Salmon shot 1 under par 35 to lead Medina. Other top scorers for the Battling Bees included Nic Fartelly 39, Preston Trumpler 40, and Zach Parker 41.

“We played a very good Medina Bees team on a very wet Fox Meadow Country Club course and lost 169-155.”

JV: Medina 176, Louisville 200

The Leopards JV Team fell to the host Bees 176-200.

Junior Robert “Trey” Davis led Louisville by posting a team low 48. Rounding out the Leopards scoring were junior Cade Everhart 49, freshman Michael Filipowicz 51, and junior Karson Siegfried 52.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Akron Firestone Falcons in their home opener on Thursday, August 26. Tee-time is slated for 3:45 PM from Sleepy Hollow Country Club. JV will begin action at 4:00 PM against the East Canton Hornets Varsity, who are playing out their inaugural season.
