Leopards Fall to Unbeaten Rovers in Dual Opener 171-176 – Boys Golf

The Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Team fell to the host Rootstown Rovers 171-176 Tuesday at Sunny Hill Golf Course in Kent. This was the Leopards first dual match of the season, which drops them to 0-1 on the young campaign.
Junior Caleb Harsh, junior Sam Karcher, and sophomore Jack Mayle all shot a team low 43 to lead Louisville. Sophomore Zach Root rounded out the Leopards scoring by also carding a 47.

Bower Shoots Match Low 40 to Lead Rovers
Rootstown was led by Blake Bower who shot a match best 40. Also leading the Rovers were Mason Bartholomy 41, Cole Hostetler 41, and Lane McKenzie 49.
The Rovers are now an undefeated 6-0 on the season with the victory.
Tuesday’s match was originally scheduled for August 17 prior to the makeup. Last year’s Louisville Vs. Rootstown matchup was also cancelled, which marks this as the first known meeting between the two squads.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Boys Soccer Team will next travel to take on the Medina Battling Bees on Wednesday, August 25. Tee-time is set for 3:45 PM from Fox Meadow Country Club.
